What's New?

Coming fresh off a redesign last year, the 2018 Porsche Panamera still sports a number of new features, including two completely new versions: the Sport Turismo, which nearly turns the model into a wagon; and the Turbo S E-Hybrid, a monster of a machine with 680 horsepower and 626 pound-feet of torque.

Overview

An athletic, aggressive four-door, the Porsche Panamera comes in a wide variety of body styles with multiple powertrain options, each of which is ready to provide a thrilling and rewarding driving experience.

The base Panamera starts at $85,000* and comes complete with plenty of exciting equipment, including a panoramic sunroof, a two-way adaptive rear spoiler, auto-dimming side mirrors, driver-seat memory settings, and that's just for starts. All models except the base trim feature standard all-wheel drive, as well as the option to spring for the Executive body style which offers six more inches of rear legroom—perfect for those long trips with friends.

Porsche understands that not every outing is an adventure. But when you command the Panamera from the driver’s seat, every drive sure will feel like one.

The Perfect Ride for…

Anyone looking to share an adventure with their closest companions. The Panamera offers exquisite performance not only when you're cruising down beautiful back roads or zipping across town on the highway, but also when you're traveling alone or with those most special to you. Thanks to a taller ride height and larger interior, the Panamera combines speed and comfort as only a Porsche can.

Drive & Handling

The Porsche Panamera lineup has a multitude of trims, each providing their own driving experience. The base trim comes equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 good for 330 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque as well as Porsche Active Suspension Management. Move up to the Panamera 4S for a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 that delivers 440 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. The 4 E-Hybrid combines a 2.9-liter engine and an electric motor to make 462 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, while the Turbo kicks things up a notch not only with a 550-horsepower twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, but also adaptive air suspension, quad tailpipes, and more.

Finally, there's the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, an electric monster that takes the regular Turbo's engine and adds hybrid components to it in order to deliver a combined 680 horsepower and 626 pound-feet of torque. Add in ceramic composite brakes and an optional Sport Chrono package, and you've got yourself the perfect car for track day.

Key Features

Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) with Auto Start/Stop Function

This standard 8-speed gearbox delivers uncompromising power by utilizing a dual-clutch arrangement, minimizing lag during gear changes to an unnoticeable fraction of a second. Additionally, the auto start-stop function allows the vehicle to coast for longer distances, preserving the Panamera's momentum.

Porsche Communication Management (PCM)

A high-resolution touchscreen serves as the control center for your infotainment and driving information. Connect your iPhone® or audio device, operate Bluetooth®, and utilize the Porsche Jukebox to play your favorite songs. With a CD/DVD drive, SD card input, USB outlet, and auxiliary input, your options for in-drive entertainment are endless.

Cargo Capacity

Cargo-hauling capability might not be the first thing that comes to mind with the Panamera, but it nevertheless offers an impressive 17.4 cubic feet of space with its rear seatbacks in place. The Sport Turismo is even more spacious with 18.3 cubic feet of room. With built-in versatility like this, you can do more than merely pack a bag for a day trip or make room for groceries—you're ready for an adventure.

Alternative Options

The Porsche 911 and Cayman are great options for drivers who are looking for a sporty ride. While the Panamera rides slightly taller to provide more room for drivers and passengers, the 911 offers considerable performance—or take the muscular Cayman out for a spin and see if you prefer its wider stance and shorter length. Be sure to note the innovative storage solutions in this smaller model.
