Who's It For?

The Porsche Taycan might not seem like it's for the slight of heart with its 143-mph top track speed, but it's a four-door car with just enough room to squeeze a few passengers in the backseat, which means drivers can bring their friends along for a thrilling ride on any street. Porsche offers many configuration options for the 2025 Taycan, which means drivers can choose from an uncluttered and focused cockpit experience or an overabundant and luxurious environment.

What's New for 2025?

The 2025 Porsche Taycan was updated slightly for 2025 with a new front bumper and a few other changes to exterior features, but larger updates were made to the DC fast-charging speed of the car. Drivers can now charge their Taycan from ten to 80 percent in less than 20 minutes, representing a peak charging rate of more than 300 kilowatts. The 2025 Taycan is also slightly lighter than its predecessor, and Porsche also made some minor updates to the infotainment system for Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Real World Performance

With a minimum of 402 horsepower and 302 lb.-ft of torque, the 2025 Porsche Taycan is an exciting and powerful electric vehicle fully deserving of the Porsche name. Drivers may opt for the more powerful performance battery plus to reach 429 horsepower and 309 lb.-ft of torque, as well as an upgrade from a single permanent-magnet synchronous AC motor with RWD to a pair of motors on the AWD model. All Taycan models feature a two-speed direct-drive transmission.

Porsche offers two battery sizes: an 89.0 kWh performance battery or a larger 105.0 kWh performance battery plus. Drivers who want to experience something even more thrilling than regular road driving will enjoy the Taycan's top track speed of 143 miles per hour with summer tires. The Taycan also affords drivers a reasonable amount of cargo volume, with 14.3 cubic feet in the truck and 3.0 cubic feet in the frunk (front trunk).
