Porsche Opens New $60 Million Experience Center in Los Angeles

German engineering meets California lifestyle

Porsche has opened the doors of yet another must-visit destination for Porsche owners and fans in the United States. Porsche Silver Spring has all the details for you here.

The Porsche Experience Center (PEC LA) serves as the premier West Coast destination for all things Porsche. The new $60 million, 53-acre facility is open to the public, including automotive enthusiasts and Porsche customers, and is located just off the 405 Freeway in Carson, California.

The location is conveniently located near three of the Los Angeles-area airports and is also the new home of Porsche Motorsport North America.

A playground for adults

Guests are encouraged to visit the facility and hone their driving skills on any number of PEC LA’s eight educational modules, which together total roughly 4.1 miles. Naturally, drivers will experience what Porsche engineering has to offer on courses built to demonstrate the power, responsiveness, and safety of the brand's sports cars. The eight training modules include two handling circuits, an ice hill, an off-road course, a dynamics area, a launch control and acceleration straight, as well as a low friction handling circuit, low friction circle, and hydraulic kick-plate.

Not business as usual

In addition to unrivaled driving experiences, the facility also boasts a changing racecar exhibit and fine-dining restaurant: Restaurant 917. Restaurant 917 is named after the iconic racecar that gave Porsche its first win at the legendary French endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

There’s also a state-of-the-art business center that features 6,000 square feet of main event space.

The PEC LA joins the brand’s first $100 million Experience Center and North American headquarters, which opened in May 2015 in Atlanta. With facilities on each coast, the U.S. is the only country with two Experience Centers, representing the largest investments for Porsche outside Germany to date.
