Porsche Ranks Highest in J.D. Power Initial Quality Study for Third Consecutive Year
As a brand, Porsche is dedicated to excellence, so it’s no surprise that for the third year in a row, American drivers have rated Porsche highest among nameplates in J.D. Power’s 2015 Power Initial Quality Study. As Matthias Müller, Chairman of the Executive Board, said, “We see these awards as confirmation of our strategy for high quality standards in design, development and production and in continuously offering Porsche customers a unique purchase and ownership experience.”
The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study works by measuring the number of problems American consumers have within the first 90 days of owning their vehicle. Across the board, Porsche models scored better than other nameplates in their respective categories, showing off the level of consumers can expect when they purchase a Porsche. Specifically, the Porsche 911 ranked highest for the fourth year in its vehicle segment (Midsize Premium Sporty Car).
In the Compact Premium Sporty Car segment, the Boxster and Cayman secured the top two spots, while the Cayenne and Panamera each ranked third in their respective segments (Midsize Premium SUV and Large Premium Car). This makes 2015 the first year in which five Porsche vehicle models have gotten within the first three spots in their categories in the J.D. Power Study.
